Petra Ritzer is a passionate designer, working on installations, interactive applications and moving images that embrace with multisensory encounters.
In her design practice, she pushes the boundaries of storytelling and immersive technologies to explore new ways of visual communication. Her approach provokes novel concepts on technology consciousness and a positive, sustainable future.
Her MA project ’Material Legacy’ provides a new understanding of matter through a narrated moving image piece and an interactive installation. It identifies objects and utilises an AI database to project the full lifespan of materials onto design objects. This immersive experience provokes new ideas on an optimistic and sustainable future through a reimagined relationship of users, scientists and designers.
’Material Legacy’ offers a deeper understanding of the future impacts concerning our current ways of buying, thinking and creating.
